Experience: Approximately 20,000 NM logged, including offshore racing, cruising and passage making.
Raced competitively in a variety of roles, including bow, mast, trim, pit and helm. I also regularly skipper and first mate on cruising trips organized by Cambridge University Yachting in locations both in England and abroad.
Ambitions: Looking to become more experienced in both inshore and offshore racing, with an emphasis on offshore. I enjoy the challenges that extended races can present to a crew – something I got to witness close up in the 2007 Fastnet campaign. Particularly interested in short-handed sailing. I hope to take part in the Azores and Back (AZAB) race in 2011
